A debut product, from scratch.

As the industrial designer on the team, I worked closely with stakeholders throughout the process. The goal was to make everyday urban commuting in India easier, through functional ergonomics, solid engineering, and a design language approachable enough to encourage sustainable mobility.

The process

Sketching toward a direction.

The project began with broad brainstorming and sketch exploration, focused on understanding everyday urban commuting challenges and identifying a viable design direction.

Design direction

One direction, refined.

The concept went through rounds of iteration and evaluation before settling into a balanced design, one that prioritized ergonomics, usability, and practical performance.

Fabrication

From design to steel.

To translate the design into reality, I worked closely with manufacturers during frame fabrication, observing and taking part in cutting, drilling, and welding.

Prototyping

Testing every detail.

Paint, materials, and seat ergonomics were refined through physical testing, including several 3D-printed seat prototypes to check comfort and riding posture.

Assembly

Redesigning on the floor.

During hands-on assembly, component fitment issues came up that needed immediate adjustments and redesigns to keep everything compatible and built to standard.

Showcase

Tested by real riders.

The functional prototype was shown publicly and tested with real users, validating ergonomics and confirming it was ready for consumer trials and early deliveries.
