Privacy

This is a personal portfolio site, not a business collecting data to sell or share. Here's plainly what happens on it.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to see general traffic, things like which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from. It doesn't collect names or exact identities, and this data is never sold or shared with anyone.

The reaction feature and contact form

The About page has a small feature for leaving an anonymous reaction, and an optional message field where you can share your name if you'd like. Whatever you type there goes directly to me through Netlify's form service and is used only to hear feedback, never shared or sold.

The Umeå weather

The About page shows the time and temperature in Umeå. To get the temperature, your browser asks Open-Meteo, a free weather service, for the current weather at Umeå's coordinates. That request goes straight from your browser to Open-Meteo, so they see your IP address the way any website you visit does. Nothing about you is sent to me through it.

The pop-it counter

The pop-it at the bottom of the About page keeps one shared running total of the bubbles popped by everyone who plays. When you pop bubbles, a number (how many) is sent to this site and added to that total. No name, account or other personal detail is attached to it.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets a small cookie to distinguish visits. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
